Mrs. Jill Gonzalez

I graduated from Stanislaus State University with a degree in Liberal Studies in 1990, and I continued on and received my multiple studies teaching credential in 1991. I did my student teaching in Grayson and in Newman in 1991. I taught Summer School for the Migrant Program for two years while I was starting my career here at Sacred Heart Catholic School. When I began teaching at SHCS I taught many different grades from 5-8th. I decided to try Kindergarten and I have been here ever since.

I became a teacher because I enjoy working with young children. I am passionate about teaching children to read. The foundations that children receive set the tone for future education as well as for what they do for the rest of their lives. I love being the first teacher that many students have. I get to impact how they feel about school, setting a positive tone helps children achieve throughout their education. I have enjoyed my 24 years at SHCS because the students, parents and staff feel like family. We provide a well rounded education emphasizing Religious values in addition to academics.

Away from school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two grown children. We love vacationing at the beach, and spending time with family and friends. I love to crochet and play with my dog and cat.
